PRACTICE MODE · SHORT-TERM RECALL
Number memory test
A row of digits appears, then vanishes. Your job is to bring it back in the same order. This number memory test is deliberately simple: no facts to study, no vocabulary advantage, and no account to create. Focus on the sequence, use a memory strategy if you want, and enter what you remember after the reveal ends. Three short practice rounds let you try a different approach before making a claim in the daily mixed-skill challenge.
How scoring works
You earn 100 times the share of digit positions you match correctly, rounded to a whole number. Getting four of six positions right earns 67 points. Enter the required number of digits before submitting. This is feedback on one short task, not an IQ score or a clinical memory assessment.
A little head start
Try grouping digits into small chunks instead of holding each one separately. Use the same grouping strategy across a run to compare your results.
Keep the sequence in order. Remembering all the digits but swapping their positions changes the answer.
Good questions
Is this a digit span test?
It is a casual digit-recall game. Its number lengths, timing and scoring are designed for play, not a standardized clinical digit span procedure.
Can I write the number down?
The intended challenge is to recall it without notes or screenshots. You set the rules for yourself; the site cannot verify how a player completed a browser game.
Why did I do worse than last time?
Sequence length, distractions, fatigue, typing mistakes and your chosen strategy can all change a run. Compare several attempts rather than drawing a broad conclusion from one score.
